David suggested I write a song about a movie theatre balcony. I loved the sound of the word "Balcony", so instead, I dreamed up this voyeuristic Romeo and Juliet scenario, and wrote one of the most over the top, dramatic lyrics and melodies I've ever come up with. David sang the hell out of this song, often climbing up on tables, getting on his knees, and doing his thing. This is a one-take demo version with me, David, Jason and Jennie. David often spoke of the 'tension of an arrow aimed and drawn'..as far as courting was concerned ...what an amazing visual and concept!! I knew I had to use it in a song. As much as I claim that "I wrote these songs!!", I see now in retrospect that they would not have gotten written without David in my ear....constantly!! lol
