Eddie Mugavero: music

AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU

(Written by Eddie Mugavero-Performed by BadaBing BadaBoom, live at Wolfy's in Nashville, Maureen Mohr lead vocal, with Rebecca Sayre, harmony vocal)
I woke up one morning with this melody and title. It literally came to me in a dream. BadaBing performed it one or two times, but this is another one I'm sad to say we never recorded. I think it's one of my most well-written songs, lyrically and melodically. This is one of those performances, recorded live at Wolfy's On Broadway in Nashville, sometime in the late 90's. As evidenced by the recording, those days on Lower Broadway were nuts. Huge crowds, the streets teeming with energy, BR-549 performing across the street at Roberts. Lottsa fun, and very creative times for me as a writer.

AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU

AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU
WHY CAN'T I JUST LET YOU GO?
I'M BESIDE MYSELF AWAY FROM YOU
NO..YES..I'M SURE I LOVE YOU SO
AND EACH DAY I FEEL MORE LOST
AND EACH NIGHT I TURN AND TOSS
HOPING YOU'LL SLIP IN OUT OF THE BLUE
IS MY MIND SLIPPING TOO?
AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU

AS I FEEL MYSELF TOUCHING YOU
WHY CAN I NOT SEE YOU'RE GONE?
THEN I TELL MYSELF I'M SUCH A FOOL
FOR NEEDING SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT
STILL THIS TORCH FOR US I KEEP
TIL I FORCE MYSELF TO SLEEP
KNOWING DEEP INSIDE WE'RE REALLY THROUGH
GUESS I'M BLIND TO THE TRUTH
AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU

(SOLOS)

TO MY FRIENDS WHO FEEL THE URGE TO ADVISE ME SAVE YOUR WORDS
A HEART CAN'T MAKE DECISIONS SPLIT IN TWO
AND CRYING'S WHAT I DO
AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU..

HANDS OF TIME PULL ME THROUGH
AS I FIND MYSELF LOSING YOU
