Eddie Mugavero: music

TO BE THAT IN LOVE

(Written by Eddie Mugavero-sung by David Spear)
I wrote this from a 'voyeuristic' point of view...as if I was watching the greatest love of all happen before my eyes. It doesn't get much more dramatic, and David delivers it like he's outside their window. Oh!! To be that in love!! It'd be nice, huh? Cathy Craig used to use the expression 'land and sea' often, I guess to describe anything 'all encompassing'. I still hear her saying it, & how cute it sounded..and I smile....I knew I had to work it into a song.
TO BE THAT IN LOVE
HE KISSED HER OVER COFFEE THEN HE SAID HE HAD TO HURRY
BUT HE’D BE HOME BEFORE SHE EVEN KNEW IT..NOT TO WORRY
THEN HE HELD HER AS SHE SMILED..SHE’S ALREADY MISSING HIM
AND SHE KNEW SHE’D COUNT THE MINUTES TIL SHE’S IN HIS ARMS AGAIN..

OH..TO BE THAT IN LOVE
IS ALL I EVER WANTED, THAT’S ALL I’D EVER NEED
OH…TO BE THAT IN LOVE
IF I OWNED ALL THE GOLD ON EARTH AND RULED THE LAND AND SEA
I’D GIVE THEM UP..JUST TO BE THAT IN LOVE

HE WAS HOME BEFORE THE STARS SHONE THROUGH THE LACE SHE WORE
AND SHE UNLOCKED HER PASSION AS HIS KEY UNLOCKED THE DOOR
THEN HE HELD HER IN HIS ARMS AS THEY MELTED BY THE MOON
AND HEADED OFF TO HEAVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER LEFT THE ROOM…

CHORUS
