Eddie Mugavero: music
LAST SONG OF THE NIGHT/MOON IS OUT
(Written by Eddie Mugavero-cassette tape, teaching BBBB)
Another duo of tunes I couldn't separate in my downloads. This is an example of what I gave the band after having written something new. I'd make like 5 copies, and give them out to the singers and players to learn...I had several arrangement ideas in mind, but they often changed after a rehearsal or two. The first tune was obviously our 'last song'..we often followed it with the song 'BadaBing BadaBoom',...The reference to 'filling up our drum' was an old tom tom drum Jennie donated, that we'd pass around the club for tips. A common practice on Lower Broadway in those days..still is.
The other was a cajun-y song I wrote...My 4 track demo version is in the M section. I'm singing in falsetto on these work tapes, as I wanted to teach the girls in their key. Rebecca did a drum solo on this one live...very cool!
LAST SONG OF THE NIGHT
THIS IS THE LAST SONG ON THE NIGHT
IT WAS THE HARDEST ONE TO WRITE
BE CAREEFUL DRIVING HOME..SLEEP TIGHT
THIS IS THE LAST SONG OF THE NIGHT
GOTTA GO, GOTTA SPLIT, GOTTA GIT WE'LL SWING YOU LATER
DON'T FORGET TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR WAITER
THANKS SO MUCH FOR FILLING UP OUR DRUM
BADABING BADABOOM, WE'LL SEE YOOU SOON..
HOPE YOU ALL HAD FUN
MOON IS OUt
WELL THE MOON IS OUT AND I'M IN LOVE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
THE MOON IS OUT AND I'M IN LOVE GONNA HOWL AND SHOUT IT
WHEN THE SUN TURNS IN THE STARS BEGIN TO SWOON
THE MOON IS OUT AND I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU
THESE MIDNITE ANTICS ARE SO ROMANTIC
THAT MOON'S GIGANTIC, WHAT A LIGHT
I'M A LUNATIC, I'M A MOON ADDICT
AND I GET A LITTLE LOVESICK IN THE NIGHT
MON AMOUR AMIE
J'TAIME LA NUIT
SI VOUS PLAIT PARLE OUI
AND TAKE MY HEART
