Dave and I were in a Mexican restaurant, hanging out. The weird thing is, David never ate that kind of food, so I'm not sure what we were doing there. lol Anyway, we were talking, probably me with a margarita and he with his jug of water, and somehow this title came up. That's the beauty of songwriting...live, talk, find common ground..and write. I think it was mostly mine, but wtf do I know. I was thinking about Sherry R, my sorta g'f at the time who would 'kinda' sleep with me, but had a far away look in her eyes. She probably shoulda been home with her real b'f. haha
David would actually lay down on the stage while singing this song. You had to see it to believe it. Still cracks me up thinking about it. One of the few that our publisher thought was a 'hit'. He knew his shit, Peter Sullivan..he produced Tom Jones, Englebert, and Lulu. Me and David musta drove him nuts. lol
