Happy Birthday Mom - July 12, 2007

Thinking of you..love you, miss you.

Jeff Pearlman - July 12, 2007

Got a little blast from the past today, when I received an email from Jeff out of the blue. Jeff wrote the famous and controversial 'John Rocker' piece in SPORTS ILLUSTRATED a few years back, but more importantly (lol!), wrote a feature article on me in the early 90's when he worked for the TENNESSEAN. It was very flattering, and really helped to further my songwriting career back in the day. I encourage you to check out his page, where he again wrote something very humbling. Thanks Jeff, and best of luck with your new book!!

Say Hey - July 10, 2007

As I watch the All-Star game, I realize I've never said this in public..but in my humble opinion, the greatest player to ever put on the cleats was WILLIE MAYS. As a true blue Yankee fan, it kills me to say this..but no one played the game like Willie..hit, run, field..and such an ambassador of the game. Class personified. Say hey.

BadaBinging In Europe! - June 28, 2007

Just signed a deal for 3 of my songs to be released in Europe on SONY/BMG, as part of a 4 CD Box Set featuring several well known jazz artists.

"Hat Check Girl"
"Jonesin' To Swing"

Very exciting!! Look for a September '07 release!

Sir Paul - June 18, 2007

Happy B-Day, Macca! You are the greatest songwriter of the past century, my favorite artist and biggest influence. I wouldn't be doing what I do if not for you. Salute!

Cool Daddio - June 17, 2007

Happy Daddy's Day Dad!! I love you. I wrote this with you and Grandad in mind. WHEN MEN WERE BUILT LIKE BUICKS

Hi Mom! - May 13, 2007

Not a day goes by that I don't talk to my Mom, who passed in '89. She was an amazing, caring, loving woman with a wonderful sense of humor. I've inherited her spirit, that's for sure. I often share anecdotes with my friends, and they still make me chuckle. I love you Mom. Hope you're having fun up there!

I wrote this in one draft the day Mom died.
ONE MORE TIME FOR ME

#42-60 years ago today... - April 15, 2007

Jackie Robinson played his first major league baseball game at Ebbetts Field in Brooklyn. To some, April 15th is tax day...to me, it signifies the day Major League baseball came to its senses and allowed African-Americans to play in the big leagues. Cheers to Branch Rickey for signing Jackie, and long live #42.

My good buddy, James Baird, has been burning VHS tapes of "BadaBing BadaBoom" and "David Spear and the Darts" performances to DVD. I'm now working on posting some of these performances to YouTube.com. By entering either "BadaBing BadaBoom" or "David Spear" in your YouTube acct., these videos will soon be available for viewing. Thanks, James for preserving these performances for posterity. I've seen a few, and am loving every minute of it!! Coming soon are vids of BadaBing at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, where I'm bantering with Tom Wopat (a Duke!), Beachaven Winery & Opryland Hotel among others. Soon, several David Spear and the Darts vids at Guidos will be available for viewing. Precious stuff, James..Thanks again.

We blew it again. Now that it's the off-season, time to write again. I actually have more "hits" than Alex Rodriguez had against the Tigers. waaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

The Gulf, one year later... - September 3, 2006

I MISS MISSISSIPPI is a song I wrote after visiting the devastated coast. Please keep these folks in your prayers. It has been a whole year since Katrina. Hard to believe! Hopefully, this region will be spared this hurricane season.

Happy Birthday... - June 18, 2006

Fiddytwo!! - January 24, 2006

Damn, I'm getting old. I celebrate my 52nd year on the planet today. If I knew I was going to live this long,..... I would've started smoking and drinking tequila earlier. Here's a song I wrote on my birthday about ten years ago. It's a little autobiographical & alot country. It's called Son Of The 60’s, cuz that's what I is! Anyway, think I'll spend the day writing. I'll let you know what I come up with!

Cya soon! Eddie
