Eddie Mugavero: music

THERE AIN'T ENOUGH ROSES IN TEXAS

(Written by Eddie Mugavero & Bob Dellaposta-Recorded by Bobby Vinton (Collectors Series, Volume IV))
Bob had an old song with the line, "...there ain't enough roses in Texas", & I had one called "Deeper Than Dixie In Love"..We simply combined ideas to write this one. A good example of a successful co-writing session, with the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. It was one of our first cuts, recorded by Bobby Vinton, or as I like to call him, the artist formerly known as the Polish Prince. We've had several cuts since, but I'm still partial to the original demo.
THERE AIN’T ENOUGH ROSES IN TEXAS

THERE AINT ENOUGH ROSES IN TEXAS
OR KISSES IN HERSHEY PA
THERE AINT ENOUGH LOVE SONGS IN NASHVILLE
OR HOURS IN AN ESKIMOS DAY
THERE AINT ENOUGH MOON IN MIAMI
OR STARS IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE
THERE AINT ENOUGH ROSES IN TEXAS
WHEN YOU’RE DEEPER THAN DIXIE IN LOVE

HALLMARK CANT DESCRIBE
HOW YOU MADE ME FEEL LAST NIGHT
AN FTD BOUQUET A DAY CANT EVEN SAY IT RIGHT
I’D LOVE FORYOU TO SEE JUST HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME
BUT I COME UP SHORT EVERY TIME I TRY
